SHED FARM, MALT HOUSE FARM – FIELD WALK – 22 SEPTEMBER 2001
The entrance to the field is on the Ellesborough Road about half a kilometre west of Ellesborough. The Ellesborough Road joins the Aylesbury Road (A4010) about 8 kilometres south of Aylesbury between Little Kimble and Great Kimble.
There is a track into the field from the north side of the road by the side of a house and garden at OSGR SP 8325 0650.
The field slope down to a public footpath running about E – W.
The baseline A1 to A10 for the field walking grid was laid out along the edge of the footpath (see diagram). Point A1 is 1 metre from the eastern fence of the field and in line with the north edge of the hedge in the field to the east. The base line was marked at 30 metre intervals. The next line of the grid was numbered A11 to A20. The grid squares on the east edge of the field are cut by the fence.
